Description

The Coves de Sant Josep are located in La Vall d’Uixó, in the heart of the Mediterranean and at the gateway to the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park. It is one of the longest navigable underground rivers in Europe.

The visitor will reconnect with nature and with the sensations of peace and harmony that only the Earth can give us. This is a unique and mysterious place, where water has shaped the rocks over thousands of years, and where humanity found shelter and a home during prehistoric times.

Archaeological remains, rocks that look as if carved by an artisan’s hand, carefully designed lighting, and the gentle flow of the water make the Coves one of Spain’s most important tourist landmarks.

The visit, which lasts approximately 45/50 minutes, allows visitors to enter a unique environment, where stalactite and stalagmite formations create an unparalleled visual spectacle.

The route, up to 1,050 metres, is divided into two sections: the first is by boat (800 metres) and the second on foot through a dry gallery (250 metres), provided it is suitable for use.

From the first jetty to the end of the Dry Gallery, passing through the Bat Hall, Lake Diana and the Lovers’ Walk, among other areas, visitors will enjoy an unforgettable experience for their eyes.

CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE MUST ALWAYS BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

Please note that ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE CAVE.
